The Philadelphia Water Works - Danielle + Ben

Danielle + Ben-97.jpg

I'm so thankful that this shoot actually happened! We rescheduled a few times, we had dress issues, which led to us getting a free dress (yay for Danielle)! We initially wanted to do something with a very classical feel. Danielle and Ben got all dressed up, and we went to the Water Works right outside of the Philadelphia Museum. We had aspirations to photograph in the museum, but unfortunately, it was closed. Instead, we went to the Rodin Museum (which was a tad different then we expected). There were no paintings, only statues - which wasn't a bad, thing - it was just disappointing. Anyways, we still had an amazing time.

I generally do not share a lot of black and white photos, but I really loved the look and feel of them throughout this session. Here are my favorites from that chilly Monday afternoon.

Gifford Pinchot State Park - Alisha + Addison - Fall Engagement Session

2017-11-09_0001.jpg

When I was a kid, I listened to a comedian who said the average child laughs around 1,000 times a day. Whereas the average adult laughs on average 10 times a day. That quote has always been with me. I refused to see life like that. There's humor in everything, joy in all areas of life. I know I'm above that adult average because I probably laugh at myself 10+ times a day. What I love about Alisha and Addison is the joy and laughter in their lives. They don't take themselves to seriously (in a good way!!). They enjoy the little things in life, like trying to toss rocks into each other's pockets. Or Addison picking Alisha up on the end of a dock, just to swing her around. There's so much fun in those little things. So a few weeks ago, we went up to Messiah College where these two really fell in love, and we snapped some happy moments. Here are a few of my favorites.

The Farm at Eagles Ridge - Lancaster, PA - Joseph + Joylie Byler

There's so much I can say about Joe. He's one of the first friends that I made when I decided to go to the church Threshold. He's a guy that's just always there for you, always asking if there is something he can pray for you about. I remember when I first had a camera, I asked Joe if he would go out and "model" for me. It was no surprise that he said yes! So we got up at 3am to drive to the abandoned highway in Breezewood, PA for the sunset. It was essentially the first time that I was photographing a person. It was such a fun experience. When I found out that Joe was engaged, I was thrilled when he asked me to photograph his wedding. Their whole wedding was an absolute blessing. I could feel Christ's love from the beginning of the getting ready, all the way to the sparkler send off. Here are a few of my favorites from their special day!

Intimate Session at the White Cliffs of Conoy

For quite some time I had been wanting to photograph a couple in the rain. Why? I feel like capturing two people in the rain really shows what fearless love looks like. So I did the best thing I could, reach out on Instagram to find a couple. Little did I know I would find one of the sweetest and most rad couples ever in Chad and Lisa. We walked the short trail to the cliffs while the rain was coming down heavily. The rain eventually slowed down, and that's when the magic happened.

The Ware Center - Harry + Paige

I vividly remember loving every aspect of Harry and Paige's beautiful downtown Lancaster wedding. From the girls getting ready talking about Star Wars and Harry Potter, to the laugh inducing ceremony and then the incredible and intimate moments with Harry and Paige alone in the Garden of the Five Senses. Their wedding was everything I could have asked for, and it made it very hard for me to leave as the party went on.

Pittsfield Massachusetts - Hannah + Gabi

Do you remember that time that I met a girl pretty much exclusively from Instagram? Well, it was only a few weeks ago. I remember that day pretty well. I was finishing up a shoot with Hannah and she had mentioned that she was meeting a friend and taking her to Copper Cup Coffee. I had yet to see Copper Cup, and am always down to meet new people, so I invited myself along. I had no idea that would spark a brand new friendship with Gabi Ingersoll. This last weekend, Hannah and I decided to take the trip up to Massachusetts to visit Gabi, and spend a day and a half with her. It was an absolute pleasure, and we had so much fun. Gabi took us to the coffee shop that she works at, Six Depot Coffee. Let me tell you... that place was stunning! The decor was amazing, and the coffee was fantastic. The shop owner took so much time to make sure that we were comfortable, and even gave us some amazing samples! His wife even stopped by to share her story, and the bright future of Six Depot. After that, I asked Gabi to pull over so we could take some pictures in a field. I'm pretty thankful that we did. I hope these images can convey the incredible person that Gabi is. Full of love, care and joy.
