A Montana Anniversary Session in Glacier National Park - Jordan + Peter

Peter + Jordan Glacier NP-50.jpg

It was my last night in Glacier National Park with Trent Carper when I met Jordan and Peter. Before the road trip, I had connected with Pete through a mutual friend who went to high school with Pete. That was really it, I didn’t really know him at all. We both had minimal cell phone service while in the park, so coordinating was a little difficult.

Pete and Jordan have been doing the incredible for the last year. They got married, made their business mobile (thank you mobile hotspots!), and moved into a 5th wheel RV with their rescue pup Russ - all within weeks of being married (can we talk about #goals!!).

I met Pete and Jordan in Glacier while they were showing Pete’s father around the park. We started pretty early in the evening at St. Mary’s Falls, and I had hoped to spend a lot of time roaming the park with them. Pete told me that he had just rolled his ankle, and didn’t really want to hike that much. While that might have been a bummer to most, I was okay with it. What happened after the waterfall shoot was worth far more than what any other locations could have done.

Pete and Jordan graciously invited Trent and I back to their RV and offered us dinner (for the record, it was tacos, and they were amazing). While in their RV, Jordan and I had an amazing conversation about our dreams and hopes for creatives in the industry and how we can be a light for Christ at the same time. Every time I shared an idea or thought, her jaw dropped closer to the ground and she would say “Pete and I want to do the exact same thing!!” It was really freaking cool.

Right before we had dinner, Pete showed me this beautiful patch of flowers behind their RV. It was gorgeous. Not only that, the lighting was stunning too. We took five minutes before dinner, and captured pictures that I love MORE than the ones at the falls. Why? Because I got to know Pete and Jordan’s hearts before I took these photos. It was truly incredible.

For dinner, we laughed and shared stories. They gave us some shower tokens, and we cleaned up. They gave us their Canadian parks pass too, which was a huge blessing (and gives me another excuse to see them - because I still have it!!). I love their hearts, and how they’re helping entrepreneurs daily. I’m so excited to see what they’re going to do moving forward.

Kiely + Jordan - A Sunrise Engagement Session at Lock 12

2018-05-22_0020.jpg

Kiely reached out to me shortly after I had the pleasure of photographing her soon to be brother-in-law's engagement photos. Kiely and Jordan knew exactly what they wanted. They wanted to be outside in nature, epic backdrops, and they wanted to look good doing it. They really got their wish. We woke up at the crack of dawn and made our way down to the Lock 12 area and started hiking down towards the river. I remember the water being pretty chilly. I rolled up my pants and took off my shoes and made my way through the sharp and somewhat slippery rocks. We captured some amazing moments right as the sun started to rise, and I couldn't have been happier to be there with them in this wonderful season of their life.

Since these photos, Kiely and Jordan have been married for a few weeks. They decided on an intimate elopement in Jamaica. From what I saw, it looked like a magical time. Jordan and Kiely, I sincerely wish you two the best of times as you venture into being newlyweds.
